    Mike and his son Ben were instrumental in representing my best interests and helping me find the ideal property for the future. Mike is extremely knowledgeable with the Wine and Dairy country areas of North Bay, Napa, Sonoma, Santa Rosa, and Petaluma. He was willing to go above and beyond to help me locate the ideal property even when some of the properties tugged at me more than others, and helped me steer in a direction which meant minimal investment after purchase to conduct repairs and renovations. As a solar owner, he was able to guide me with his expertise with NEM2.0 and 3.0 solar installations and the pitfalls of each. Finally, he dedicated long hours answering my questions as a first time homebuyer and investor in the community, not to mention, articulate in working with the seller agents on a number of prospective properties.     If you’re considering Stone Real Estate, you should probably stop your search, you’ve found an excellent team. I can only speak to buy side representation, but this wasn’t our first home purchase and Mike and Ben were able to hit the ground running with us. Their knowledge of the area was extensive, the list of favored contractors extremely helpful and their responsiveness was top notch, even late at night. Mike’s attention to detail really needs to be lauded. He knows much more than your average agent about build quality and things to look out for. More importantly, he knows contracts and caught important details that were missed by others (one was even the title company!). In a state where real estate lawyers aren’t typically involved in the transaction of buying or selling a house this kind of contractual knowledge is incredibly important. You’ll have hundreds of pages to sort through in every transaction, Mike’s eye for detail and his ability to explain everything in simple terms was incredibly valuable. You’ll find Mike comes across as exceedingly kind and gentle, but make no mistake, he knows the ins and outs of negotiating. When to offer less on some properties, when to offer more on others and how to get sellers’ agents to share all the important information they sometimes leave out when competition enters the picture. We worked closely together and formulated a strong and ultimately, winning strategy. Lastly and most importantly of all is Mike’s honesty and how seriously he takes his fiduciary duty. I’ve dealt with a lot of agents on both buy and sell sides and none had more integrity than Mike and his son Ben. He isn’t afraid to tell the truth even if he suspects the client would prefer not to hear it, but they should still hear it. I’ve witnessed him advocate for positions that would directly cost him money, but he did so because that was best for the client. So do yourself a favor, buying and selling a home (not just a house) is emotional, take a minute to listen, you can be confident he’s looking out for your best interests and after all that’s what you’re truly paying him for.

    Mike did an excellent job of selling my house very quickly and for a great price. I would use him again and highly recommend him. He handled everything even though I was not in town at the time. When we did arrive to move our belongings and move them out he was always available if we needed anything.
